"Tu Stan. The Hero's Path" is one of Ukraine's longest-running festivals of medieval culture, held at the Tustan cliff fortress, a State Historical and Cultural Reserve in the Lviv region. In 2026 it ran from 31 July to 2 August, with historical camps, craft workshops, knightly duels and military manoeuvres, a market, lectures, a literary stage and evening concerts.
The 2026 festival was dedicated to the memory of Andriy Parubiy, one of its founders, and raised funds for Ukrainian military units.
Atira Ruthenia takes part in the festival every year, alongside our long-standing friends from the Chorna Halych club; 2026 was probably our eighth time. Read our report: Our Eighth Summer at Tustan
